When your show is known as "The Event," chances are the audience are going to be expecting some thing on a global scale to happen in the course of the very first season. Very same goes for the actors. But based on series star Jason Ritter, he's been kept within the dark about when "The Event" will occur and what it is really referring to.But Jason likes becoming inside the dark. Specifically given that it puts him squarely within the shoes of his on-screen alter-ego, Sean Walker -- the dutiful boyfriend who has been pushed to, and beyond, his own limits by forces outside his control.
With only a handful of episodes remaining within the very first season, I caught up with Jason to talk about Sean's journey to the dark side, where this last run of episodes are headed and if he thinks a second season is within the cards!
Here’s the official episode guide for the season finale of The Event – episode 22 titled “Arrival”. Episode will air on May 23.

UPDATE: No surprise there - NBC has pulled the plug on the low-rated sci-fi drama The Event, which began off strongly but promptly fizzled. But there's a twist, and it is not just the large surprise planned by the producers for the finale. Talks are underway with at the very least 1 distribution partner to take over the serialized drama. The Event executive producer Steve Stark wouldn't comment, but I hear new original programming player Netflix's name tossed around. Word is that there has been interest from quite a few cable and digital entities. Stark said that they're exploring the opportunities with the "full support" of the studio, UMS. "NBC has been an wonderful partner, it launched the show beautifully," he said. Added creator Nick Wauters: "We have a dedicated fan base, and we promised them we will deliver 1 way or an additional and will continue to tell our stories."
