WWE Over the Limit on May 22, 2011

The second WWE Over The Limit event happens this Sunday and features matches that could really allow this event to flourish if capitalized correctly.

WWE Over The Limit takes place May 22, 2011 live from the KeyArena in Seattle, Washington. Over The Limit is looking to improve in its second year, as the first one failed to capitalize on a card that looked good on paper. On this year's card are 5 title matches and three singles matches that feature a variety of superstars. The few months after Wrestlemania that are before the build toward Summerslam allow WWE to experiment some and give new superstars a chance to shine. The matches feature continuing and new feuds that have quite a bit of potential.

Over the Limit is a professional wrestling event produced annually by WWE, a Connecticut–based promotion, and broadcast live and available only through pay-per-view (PPV). The event was established in 2010, replacing Judgment Day in the May slot of WWE's pay-per-view calendar.

Since its origin, the event has been held only in indoor arenas in the United States. Championship bouts are scheduled on every card, with the lower-tier titles featured on the undercard and the top-tier featured on the main card. Under the Brand Extension, WWE assigns its performers to either Raw or SmackDown which cause matches to be set up between wrestlers on the same show.
